Dramacourses

In May and June 2001

Three classes in the school will be doing drama workshops.

The 7B - Mrs Hall´s Englishgroup
will build on their last year´s experiences with a workshop of twice the length of the last one,
They will improve on their acting skills and aim for a more comprehensive performance, perhaps in the form of a video.

The 2 D – Mrs. Witschel´s Englishgroup and
The 1 AC - Mrs. Hall´s Englishgroup
will each have a workshop of six lessons

The process will involve building individual and group self confidence, exploring the role of images, movement and dialogue in theatre and develop a basic ability to think as an actor/actress. The emphasis is on the students communicating effectively using their own creativity and having the confidence to use the language skills they already have. The shared goal of the performance and the communication necesary to achieve it provide a natural and enjoyable context for experimenting with a foreign language.

All workshops will be held by Mr.Simon Parry, director and actor, in cooperation with the English teachers.

Report to 7b

The 7b / Mrs Hall´s English group developed, practiced and performed a play. All the ideas, actions and lyrics came from the group, helped along by Simon Parry. The play was recorded on video.
