Posted: Oct 20, 2005 10:54 GVOX Names New CEO, New Head of Development and New Address Richard Hotchkiss is CEO, Matt Ingalls is Head of Development. Theses are very exciting times here at GVOX!! We are pleased to introduce Richard Hotchkiss as the new CEO and Matt Ingalls as the new Head of Software Development at GVOX. Mr. Hotchkiss will be replacing Nathaniel Weiss, who currently chairs the board. Mr. Ingalls will be replacing John Alexander. Richard Hotchkiss, who goes by "Hotch," has a thorough understanding of the music software market and extensive experience across all facets of the music industry. His unique combination of music composition, customer support, live performance, and technical experience will help bring GVOX to the next level of its growth. "We have turned a corner here at GVOX, we have hired an all new staff and reorganized the company. Our staff are all musicians with a passion to serve our industry and our art. We are committed to creating music software that musicians want to use " stated Hotchkiss. "We are striving to create the music software that we want to use. We know the time constraints of the music business and want to do everything we can to make things easier and simpler for musicians so that they can save time and money. I think Encore, MusicTime, and Master Tracks can do just that, and I'm looking forward to getting a lot of people on board with us." Mr.Hotchkiss, an accomplished cellist, performed on the Grammy Award-winning soundtrack to Standing in the Shadows of Motown with the Funk Brothers, and with Chaka Kahn on her Grammy Award-winning performance of What's Going On. He has also performed with Joni Mitchell, Barry Manilow, Rod Stewart, Smokey Robinson, Jimmy Page/Robert Plant, TheTrans-Siberian Orchestra, David Byrne, The Moody Blues, Meat Loaf, Roger Daltry, Lyle Lovett, Paul Anka, Harry Connick Jr., Tony Orlando, WayneNewton, Sandy Duncan, Natalie Cole, Frank Sinatra Jr., ELO, Johnny Mathis,Jeffrey Gaines, the Atlantic City Symphony, the Ocean City Pops, and others. In addition, Mr. Hotchkiss has performed for many dignitaries including First Lady Barbara Bush in Washington DC. As the President of Hotstrings, Inc. (www.hotstrings-inc.com), Mr. Hotchkiss has served as local string contractor for many of the above artists, including Joni Mitchell, Rod Stewart, and Lyle Lovett. Mr.Hotchkiss earned his Bachelor of Music in Jazz Violoncello Performance degree from The University of the Arts in 1987 where he studied with John Blake, Loren Munroe, and Mihalay Virizlay, and continued his education in the Graduate program there. In 1989 he received a Philadelphia Music Foundation Award. He is currently on the Executive Board of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS), Philadelphia Chapter, serving as Vice President. Mr. Hotchkiss is married and has a daughter and a son. Matt Ingalls joins GVOX as the new Head of Software Development. Matt will create our next generation of GVOX software. Matt Ingalls has been programming computer music software since discovering how to make his Macintosh Plus generate random noises in 1989. He has worked for many major music software companies, including Cycling '74, Bias, and Arboretum Systems. Matt is the developer of "MacCsound", a Macintosh version of the Csound synthesis and signal processing language. MacCsound won an "Editors' Choice Award" from Electronic Musician Magazine in 2004. Living in the San Francisco Bay Area, Matt is also and active composer, clarinetist, and concert producer of new and experimental music. He is the founder of "sfSound", a concert series, new music group, and internet radio station surveying American ideas and traditions of experimental music, performance art, live electronic music, various facets of contemporary improvisation, and everything in between.
